This is a small series built around one idea: take a format that’s about as present-day as it gets — the internet meme — and see what happens when you render it in one of the most traditional mediums there is, oil on canvas. The format is disposable and instantly recognizable; the medium is slow and deliberate. I like the friction between the two.
